Discover behind the scenes of beekeeping from the family-run honey farm Black Dog Apiaries based on the Suffolk Coast.
During your experience you will learn how we care for and keep bees in a sustainable way with a relaxed and informative mixture of talks and hands-on sessions.
You will get suited and booted before immersing yourself in the role of beekeepers as you experience first-hand what goes on inside the busy honey bee colony. Combined with plenty of interactions with the honeybees, you’ll be shown how to lift the lids and how to spot the queen bee.
Your experience will conclude with a chance to taste several varieties of honey throughout the season followed by a complimentary Cream Tea at our onsite Coffee Bakehouse.

Closed toe and high ankle boot/welly is advised during the practical experience.
